Boy if this doesn’t get you amped up for Spring Training, I’m not sure what will. Jimmy Salisbury and Ricky Bo are making their trip down to Clearwater. Who knew that Jim got this excited for something besides the Hoagie Fest.
The road trip for a week in Spring Training is on my bucket list. Sure the flight is easy to make, but who doesn’t want to stop at shady rest stops off of 95. The best rest stops are the ones where you sitting down to take a dump are completely not an option because of how dirty it is. Also you can’t pick up a snack in a convenience store that’s gonna stink up the car.
Clearwater is a vastly underrated trip to make. Good bars and breweries all over of the place. Beaches right down the road to kick back on. All the baseball you can desire within twenty minutes from each other. All of this just screams that spring and summer are on the way.
So enjoy the trip down boys. Hopefully there comes a time where Jim is scrambling for good WiFi connection to write a story about Kris Bryant getting traded to our Fightins. See you soon Clearwater.
