Gritty Cleared of Charges: Justice Is Not Dead

Just the news I needed to start my week. Gritty has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Philadelphia police, as physical assault allegations against our beloved orange rapscallion have been found to have no merit.

This is not just a win for Philadelphia, but for society as a whole. This story was so ridiculous from day one. The father describing his 13-year-old son as tapping Gritty ever so gently on the head three times, Gritty allegedly getting up out of his seat, taking a running start, and then punching the kid in the back.

Does this look like something a 7-foot tall, fur clad mascot could do? No shot.

If this supposedly happened at a meet and greet, wouldn’t have more people observed this melee?

Surely, someone would have come up and said “hey, just wanted to let you guys know Gritty is punching the shit out of kids over there, maybe you guys should do something about it”.

Nope, no other fans reported this behavior.

I assume this was some sort of cash grab gone wrong. I’m just glad this matter can be put to bed now. Gritty has and always will be unapologetically himself. That is why we love him.

Hopefully, he can just go back to being a big, orange hooligan like he has always been.

Firing opposing fans hats into the rafters, silly stringing reporters in the face at point-blank range, and attacking fans with tee shirt cannons.

Long Live Gritty, Long Live Lady Justice.
